Merino - 100% Merino Wool, Spun in Italy

Our Merino is a beautifully soft and versatile yarn made from 100% merino wool. Soft and luxurious to the touch, it offers excellent stitch definition, natural elasticity, and a lightweight, comfortable feel. The result is a smooth, even fabric with the natural warmth, breathability, and durability of merino wool.

Weight & Length: 50 g | approx. 250 m / 273 yards - ideal for lightweight garments, delicate knitwear, and soft everyday accessories

Needle Size & Gauge: Recommended 3 mm (US 2.5) needles, 28 sts × 38 rows in stocking stitch over 10 cm / 4 inches on 3 mm needles. Can be held double to create a light DK-weight yarn, with approximately 22 sts over 10 cm depending on tension and needle size

Crochet Hook Size: ~3.0 mm - 3.5 mm (D/3 - E/4)

Versatility: Perfect for sweaters, cardigans, baby and children's garments, hats, scarves, shawls, socks, and lightweight accessories. Can also be used on a knitting machine when wound onto a cone

Care: Naturally dirt-repellent and low maintenance. Handwash gently with a no-rinse wool detergent, then reshape and dry flat on a towel or other flat surface to preserve the softness and shape of the finished piece

Our merino wool comes from sheep bred in Patagonia, where mulesing is not practiced. The wool can be traced directly back to the farm it comes from, allowing us to know exactly which farm, farmers, and sheep produced our wool. All of our wool is independently certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), certified by Control Union, CU 898826.

Merino wool has many excellent natural properties. It is temperature-regulating, keeping the body warm in cold weather while releasing heat in warmer weather to help keep the skin cool. Like silk, wool can carry moisture away from the skin and can absorb up to 30% of its weight without feeling wet.
